Just like Ford with 2022 Ranger, Isuzu has been reading customer wish lists and upgrading D-Max as the answer. This is every change made to the 2022 Isuzu D-Max.

In order to make the 2022 Isuzu D-Max more attractive, Isuzu has enhanced the standard equipment and specifications with the following:

A new trim level, called LS-U, is neatly inserted between the premium LS-U D-Max and the top X-Terrain model.

It is based on LS-U, but is equipped with additional goodies such as high-quality leather trim and interior parts (black), adjustable heated front seats, and an 8-way power adjustable driver's seat (including power lumbar support) , Double vanity mirror lights, heated mirrors, factory-installed towbar receiver and bathtub lining (just like the LS-U it is built). LS-U also has smart keyless entry and push button ignition (inherited from LS-U). It is equipped with 19-inch 2-tone machined alloy wheels.

This model also has an auto-dimming rearview mirror (borrowed from LS-U). What is impressive is that it has the potential to tow more than 50 kg due to the total combined mass of 6,000 kg.

Isuzu brought it back to Australia, equipped with a new Australian 1.9-liter turbocharged diesel engine, which can be paired with a 6-speed manual or automatic gear changer. The RZ4E-TC engine is used in the UK market and has won many awards there. It produces 110kW of power and 350Nm of moderate torque, which means that the manual 1.9-liter D-Max can tow up to 2,800 kg, and the automatic displacement can tow up to 3,000 kg. The payload of the SX single-cab chassis is an impressive 1,405 kg.
